DirecTV is offering their DVR, through a partnership with TIVO, for $99. I was wondering if anybody knew what TIVO model it was, how easy it would be to upgrade from 35hrs (which is my main interest in the model), and if it is worth it. There will be no subscription fee, which makes it that much more attractive. I will mainly be using it for hockey, if that affects the quality of playback (not sure about how 'smooth' it is or if it drops frames).

Basically, I'm clueless about DVRs except that my boss swears by them... of course, he is also the one that is now 'Voomin'
