Can someone explain ColdFusion to me? All I can gather is that it is a development tool for interfacing with databases. That's as much as the material I've looked up will tell me. From the sound of it, can't you do the same stuff with PHP? Doesn't it cost quite a lot for a license?

Basically, what's the big deal?
