I have a Dell Audio Receiver (same as Rio Receiver), and love the darn thing.
I also have a Sony PlayStation2 video game console with Sony Network Adapter. Here's why that's relevant...
I recently heard about a product called BroadQ QCast Tuner which will let you play MP3 audio as well as MPEG and AVI video files across an Ethernet network from your PC.
QCast comes with an application which runs on your PC to serve audio and video files from your PC hard drive to the PS2.
From what it sounds, it can do everything the Rio Receiver can do plus more like play video.
I'm considering selling my DAR and going with QCast, which costs $50 bucks.
Has anyone done this and regretted it? Is it a good switch?
