I'm working on something to be powered by the empeg's sled serial connector, which I believe has the RA line brought out to pin 4, and I need to clarify some technical details...

1) ISTR reading that the RA line is protected by a 1A fuse, I think that this is a self-reset fuse. Can that be confirmed? Obviously I'm not going to rely on that and I'm going to fuse the device, but it'd be nice to know what is upstream.
2) Is the RA line simply an empeg-switched nominally 12V line straight from the battery, or is it voltage clamped in any way? I'm assuming that I need to clamp it...

It's got a 1.25A resettable (ie, let it cool down) fuse. I think it may have a varistor clamping it to something like 22V, but I can't remember offhand - I'd add your own protection circuitry.
