masteriou new poster Registered: 26/08/2000 Posts: 13 Loc: Austria	Hi there! Quite a while ago, the display of my beloved empeg started to show vertical stripes which made it impossible to read anything... After searching the bbs I found out that the problem might lay in the VFD, so I bought one from Paul Grzelak (thank you Paul ) but after soldering the old out and the new in the problem remained... pgrzelak carpal tunnel Registered: 15/08/2000 Posts: 4859 Loc: New Jersey, USA	Greetings! Wow. That is extremely rare. Usually, the symptom "stripes on the display" is a fault inside the VFD glass. Unfortunately, full display boards are extremely rare in the field - you would basically need a completely dead / unrepairable empeg (also extremely rare in the field) to get one of these. I think your only real hope for replacing a full board would be Rob S. Edit: putting symptom in quotes to avoid discussion of the proper use of singular and plural...
