I have a MkIIa with a 100g seagate drive in it and have had no problems up until recently. I have approx 9 gigs left on my hdd but when I got to upload I get a lengthy drive inegrity check and even longer attempt to upload the playlists and mp3s. It eventually gives me a bunch of error 0x8004003e's and fails the upload....any suggestions?

BTW...I am using version 3 alpha 11

It is possible that the problem is related to the alpha software, I had major problems uploading tracks with emplode when trying it. Unless you need to play Ogg or Flac files, I recommend using 2.0 software.

In the meantime, look at these:

checking disk integrity

Manual disk checking

rebuild databases

disk trouble

Finally, since your hard disk is 100 gigs, it could be related to the drive having not been "built" correctly in the first place. If none of the above things help, then try rebuilding the disk from scratch using the most recent versions of the builder, kernel, and player software for large hard disks linked from the drive upgrade guide.

Yeah, I have to manually fsck the drive when the upload fails every time otherwise whan the synch fails I have the long building database start up. Maybe I will just start over with the big disk builder software. That wasn't available when I upgraded I don't think? maybe. Thanks for the help Tony.
