just got a new DELL notebook running windows XP and am having trouble with emplode finding my players (I have two - one at a time). both test fine on my old computer but XP on the DELL is giving me a new hardware message when i plug in the player and wants to reinstall emplode. all ran fine when i first installed yesterday but when i plugged in my other player things went wacky.

There are some known bugs regarding XP and the USB driver. Empeg guys, any word on progress on this front?

Justin,

I know this has been mentioned before, but it sure would be a lot easier for the rest of us to read your posts if you put a second into checking the spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. I'm sure your contributions to this board are very valuable, but I have no real way to know that for sure since I generally don't know what you're saying.

ethernet works fine on XP (much better than USB). has anyone tried connecting to two players at once on a network for simultaneous synchro?

If you mean that you expect that you could send the same updates to two players at the same time because of how broadcasting works, then I'm pretty sure you can't do it because the broadcast is only used to initially find the clients. After they're found (either by broadcast or by entering the IP/hostname manually), it uses TCP communications to send the data (I'm at least 99% sure of that).

If you meant something else, then just ignore me.

I routinely upload to multiple players simultaneously, by just running multiple copies of Emptool in separate windows (yes, on Linux).

Cheers
