Someone with a scope or perhaps a frequency counter should be able to answer this; unfortunately I have neither on hand right now.

Is the I2S data stream available on the 'I2S' header in a 16 or 32 bit format? eg, is the bit clock 1.4112 or 2.8224 MHz?

1.411380, according to my LogicPort (USB-based logic analyser).

Anything else, while I've got the probe and the unit here?

And.. "datasize = 16" is as high as the SA1100 (CPU) can do over it's SSP/IIS link to the DSP.
