Hey all. Recently, during an attempt to load a 4 gig batch of MP3s to my player, emplode failed. Hey, no problem, my fault for uploading 4 gig at once. But, it's worse than that.
Now, any time I try to sync, I get:
The synchronisation process failed during stage 2:
Error 0xfffffff8
The player works fine at home and in the car. I listened to 5 hours of music today on it.
Yes, I am still using emplode and player software 1.03. Why? Because I read somewhere that 1.03 was the MOST stable software for uploading huge batches of files, which I'm still doing.
An
old thread blames this on "making /etc/mtab a symlink to /proc/mounts.".
Is there a fix for this? Do I need to HyperTerm in and use "ln" to break the link (which I have NO idea how to do)? Should I just reaload 1.03 on the empeg? Um, and how can I do that without loosing my settings, eq's, database, and playlists?
Thanks so much for your help.
