Hi, just wanted to know if anybody has seen/used this system before and what do you think.? Find it at: http://www.eminipc.com

This is a small PC, which has many features... like Video Out, 4 USB, LAN, Serial, Parallel, Line-out, mic in, keyboard, mouse , vga, IR and 2 Firewire Ports. And CDrom
all fitting in 6" x 5.75" x 2.25".
For those who have not seen it please check it out. at the URL listed above.
It can even run linux, since for all practical purposes this is a PC.
I'm currently using it in my car as an MP3 Player, and controlling via Remote. Output is currently displayed on my Car's NAV system. I planned on getting an empeg but it was discontinued and the same can be said about the Phatbox, could be one of the remaining solutions left for those still looking for a Car MP3 Player.

Any comments?.. even if you don't like it would be apreciated. I'm currently doing a test phase/selling of the product.

Thanks

It's been discussed here and here already. I have never used one, but I hear it's loud considering it's size.

Check this out! without a active cooler! This means less noise:

Looks very cool for the purposes they advertise on their site. Of course a laptop would too. And it would already have a screen. And keyboard.

For in-car MP3-only it's small, but over-complicated. The empeg would still be far less installation hassle and have the advantage of housing twice as much HD storage.

Now if you wanted to set up a whole in-car entertainment system, with movies for the kids, this looks like a very good building block. I also love its bullet-proof-looking case.

Anyone have prices?

At those prices, they're hardly worth it compared to a laptop. Which can come with a lot more (including fast graphics with a large frame buffer).

The New Model... also has an active cooler... can barely hear it... defenitely much less noise than previous model... They've also added two Firewire ports.. and upgraded the Intel Chipset to 815.

You can also try these mini pc's, the P3 one is about the size of a normal cd-rom and the P4 one is slightly taller but still very tiny:
