I understand that the amp remote line is attached to the display board. When I quit the player while in the car (q), the display shuts off and the amp remote line goes off (good). When I output something to the display, the board powers on again, and the remote line goes high. My question is: Is there a command to issue from the command line to shut off the display board again? I'd like to listen to my CD player in the car while working, if possible.
Thanks,
Jason

No, but you could code one up -- it's just got to send the correct ioctl to the display device. Take a look at arch/arm/special/empeg_display.c in the kernel sources.

Roger - not necessarily speaking for empeg

I needed this too a while ago, so I cooked one up. Attached.
