There are posts on streaming playlists using hijack's http server. This works well for winamp, somewhat for realone, and basically on wmp (which almost looks like it would do nested playlists (+ and -, instead of converting them to a flat playlist, but doesn't work) . This may change into the future...

Using it also to stream .mpg movies and music video clips works fine as well.

What about divx .avi (mpeg-4) clips? It seems to want to download the whole clip locally, before playing.

Is it possible to stream divx in this way, or another way from the player to 'play as you go'? Does it depend on the client software, or is it simply a limitation in the divx format?
