I am new to te Empeg, and so far I have been slightly dissapointed. I am now running 2.0 beta7. player locks up frequently(once every day or two). Aux mode locks up if anyting is done with visuals or info settings. Clock is erratic, constantly having wrong time. Dimmer function is very buggy. I would love this thing if it just worked the way it's supposed to. I know I am using beta software but, whatever software it came with won't support the tuner. Is there software I can use that works correctly. People dissed on the Neo right and left but other than the random mode, it performed excellently when paired with a good head unit. I might ventur to say better than the Empeg. Please, please, please convince me other wise.

1.03 is a final version and supports the tuner. You may find that it works better. It seems rock solid to everyone here. There is the chance that you may have a hardware problem, though. Downgrade to 1.03 first and if it does anything abnormal, post again and we can help, even if it's just to suggest contacting support, who are extremely good about solving post-sales issues.

I draw the honourable gentleman's attention to the 'beta' in the version number. We mean it.

Hello JFantis,

Thanks for your feedback.
The issues with the Aux In have been fixed today.

You should find that v1.03 will support the tuner and is stable.

If we didn't release beta versions you would never have features like visualisation of Aux input and radio, in fact you would still be using 1.03 and never get any updates.

You can choose to either use the stable 1.03 or join in and help us and the rest of the community iron out the issues with the latest beta.

Thanks, and hope the rest of your relationship with your player is better than the start of it.

Toby

The tuner module should have come with a CD-ROM that includes the rock-solid, dead-stable, works-as-advertised non-beta version 1.03 software, along with instructions on how to install it and use it.

It is well known that 2.0 beta 7 has bugs. It also has an assload of cool new features. So until the 2.0 software has stabilized, you have two choices: Use the stable 1.03 version with fewer features, or walk on the wild side with 2.0 beta 7.

Thank you for the advise, it is very much appreciated. I think that I am going to stick with beta version. Sorry if my first post insulted anyone, I was just frustrated. Also, I wanted to add that the clock seems to be working now but the date went from 01/10/2002 to 01/17/2034. Odd....
