Ok, so I've broken it already, and can't synchronise any more, -playing can only make it through one track before needing a power-off reboot. My database is rather broken. As there's no dev image for MK II (or is there?), is there a way to purge the database and start again? Downloading with ethernet is pretty fast, so it's not the end of the world. Is there a hidden "reinitialise" option in emplode?
(I'm prepared to wait 'til next week, but if there's an easy fix, I'd be happy)

I once had a database problem on my Mk1 like yours, and after a few reboots and synch attempts, the unit self-repaired its database and all was well. How many times have you tried to synch and reboot?

I've just uploaded the developer image temporarily - it's at http://www2.empeg.com/upgrades/test/car2-developer-beta11b.upgrade - this should help you in this case.

We'll be having a beta11c shortly when we can get our players to replicate the problem - at the moment both the 11b's we use on mk2's are working fine despite provocation!

Couple of dozen, using serial and 'net. No-go, I'm afraid...

Brilliant, I'll do that. Is there any information you want, or shall I just blast it?
(Failing that, I'll swap the unit out, if you think there's good debug to be had from it - it does crash nice & reliably...).
Just wondering - it's not 'cos I'm running a 2-CPU NT box, is it? Seems to cause some oddities in other code, too...

It should crash just as well on developer - the code is the same. The difference is that you can delete the database and force a rebuild, which is probably useful.

If it still goes wrong, then we'll get into the crashlogs & stuff.
