I'll have to make a couple of corrections to your thinking, I took apart the monsoon amplifier, it has only 4 power transitors, meening only 4 channels of output, no electronic crossover. and there are no large cap/coils necessary for crossovers. as far as I can tell with my xtant attached, there _ARE_ crossovers in the door panels.. I havn't taken them apart to confirm that tho. :(

I did have to cut one wire on the ISO connector, that was the pin next to the ignition wire.. the jetta provides 2 ignition lines, the 2nd pin is supposed to be remote amp activator.. since the monsoon is ignition activated, there is no amp line. :(

but i agree with you on the fact that it was really nice to not have to do a lot of drilling (had to drill mounts for my huge amp, but that was it) the jetta was fairly well designed.. cept for getting the deck in/out.. but that makes it more theft proof :)
