Anyway, I read through your code (figured you'd based it on that older analysis of the format itself) so I think I can manually pump a disk now. Which is good, and if this works we could replace pumping with a simple shell script running on a Linux host.

That disk I bought started getting IRQ errors, I'm hoping it was just a faulty 120GB disk. Just for kicks, I exchanged it for a larger 250GB disk just now...which will be more fun preparing.
