This excerpt from the Jeode JVM readme may explain why the displayserver applet doesn't work:

"Also, the Jeode runtime plug-in does not currently support communicationsr between JavaScript and Java applets.
Thismeans that applets that require this interaction will not work with Jeode Runtime."

Can anyone tell me if this sounds logical?
