One more for good measure! thanks guys again! Only two screws in the fascia, no handle, but music to ride by!

Lessons learned:
Try reversing your IDE cable and use the other end (also crimp and tape and glue if need me )
Wake Up Your Chips!
Also cleaned the motherboard with rubbing alcohol and a qtip , ewww , especially around IDE related headers and chips
Clean lens with professional lens cleaning stuff!
Dont solder without all the tools! (I did it by eye without magnification cuz in nuts)
2.01.hijacked worked for me from big disk builder (3 didnt work so well )
