After refusing to buy an inkjet for years (from 1995, precisely, since my Epson Stylus 800 failed miserably after only one year od limited use), I got an HP OfficeJet pro almost two years ago now.

Surprisingly, so far so good. We do not print much, so in two years I replaced two black cartridges and 1 entire color set.

But, no problem at all so far.

I mostly use it to digitize docs via it's feeder, and it worked nicely so far. I have scanned documents for up to two hours continuously.

No problem there too.

It prints and scans double-sided documents.

That also seems to work flawlessly.


I'd recommend it, given its low purchase and operating cost.

Print quality is only decent, though, for both text and images. And, it is noisy compared to a good laser.
