Sure there is...just timeshift/cache the audio. Just like TiVo, this could provide for a pause feature, too.
I know these are lofty goals for the empeg team, but the hardware's there, right?


I had suggested this around the time the tuner came out... Hugo's response was that the hardware was NOT there... Basically, the only time the empeg SEEs the audio is when it's playing... therefore, it can't record anything unless it's actively playing it. It would be possible to PAUSE the radio (by muting the outs, but still playing), but it would only be an illusion, as the moment you started playing the cache, it would be unable to record the live.... therefore, when you reached the end of the cached data, it would skip to live.

*sigh*... it would have been nice....
