Hi all, I need some help matching up these wires, so I dont mess up the Empeg, heres a pic with the wiring harnes from Honda Civics, If anyone would be kind enough to match the wires to the pins for me. Thank you very much!

Sorry, wasn't allowed to acces the site, even when cropped down to the base url.

About the Mute wire - yes, for instance if you have a handsfree kit for your cell phone with such an output. I believe someone has wired it to a radar detector...

Also, be sure to check out the car installation issues part of the FAQ. Maybe especially the ISO Wiring connector confusion part of What are the most common installation issues question.

Your link is broken.
The mute will get connected if you have some type of in car handsfree set-up. Usually it's not used.

1. The link you posted doesn't seem to be working

2. I recently, in another thread, posted this link to a chart which I personally used to install my empeg in my 98 Civic EX. By comparing that chart to the markings on the empeg's wiring, it was actually quite easy.

3. The Mute wire would be used if you had a cell phone car kit or an actual car phone. I believe it's designed so that when the phone rings, the empeg's volume is "hushed" so you can answer the phone without having the music too loud.

Yup, that's correct. So just match them up to the appropriate wires coming from the empeg harness and you should be fine.

ok, I found out why it wasnt working before, 2 fuses where burnt, so replaced them and ta-da!!
