Just wanted to tell everyone how cool Crutchfield is. They just "did right by me" today.

I ordered the components to build a subwoofer this week. I paid extra to guarantee delivery by Friday (today). I tracked the package online this morning and noticed that it would be late (arriving on Monday instead of today). It turns out it's because of a snowstorm on the east coast.

I called Crutchfield and their customer service rep was very polite and efficient. She looked at the same online package tracking information and immediately refunded all of my shipping charges. Not just the "extra" I paid for Friday delivery, but all of the shipping charges. Think about it: It's not their fault that the package is late, and they have already paid UPS for the service. Not only that, but Friday isn't over yet. They are refunding my shipment money based on the assumption that the package will be late. How cool is that?
