Grrr. It's because people keep posting images that are not the correct dimensions. Everyone should resize their avatars to the correct 65x75, regardless of whether the board does it for you. You figured it out, but there's several who haven't

Yeah, initially I thought that it would be OK to have it smaller than 65x75, but it up-sizes it in that case...

It's about time I got one of these, but I've just been to lazy to find one.

Tony Fabris made really easy by taking my picture and putting it one the web for me!

(It's from outside the Drie Ringen brewery in Amersfoort.)

Cool! Sorry I forgot your name when I first posted the picture. There were a lot of folks there!

I never found out if you'd gotten to do anything else while you were in Europe?

I wish I could have, but I had a project due at work the next week.

Seeing Patrick's toys and the new empeg products alone would have made the trip more than worth it, and that's not even counting the wonderful hospitality of Rob S. and all the interesting people I met!

Maybe with some better planning next year I can get over to Germany next year, or something like that. I remember a museum of technology in Munich (called the Deutsches Museum?) from a high school trip that had the most amazing displays of cool stuff, from the first mechanical attempts at computers, to cross sections of jet engines, etc. I'd like to go back there and have some more time.

Yeah, that museum was specifically suggested to me. But when planning our itinerary, we decided not to go out of our way to try to see museums since we can see plenty of good museums here at home if we want to.

Although we did kill some time in the science museum in London because it was close to our hotel and convenient. But it wasn't like we planned it into the trip or anything.

Well, a friend of mine was testing his new camera, so I said 'What the heck, let them see my ugly self!' (I couldn't think of some clever avatar, anyway)...

Thought I'd may as well stash mine
This is my Mazda with an empeg sticker on it...sent by Rob.
It's quite a cool sticker, silver with empeg written in white outline, you have to stand at a slight angle to read/see it. Not really a sticker it's a cling on plastic thingy which clings to glass quite well, infinitely moveable.

cheers,
Jai

At 112k that avatar might be a bit much for the bandwidth challenged around here. It is twice the size of your last one and 20 times the size of most people's avatars...

also, im not sure how others deal with animated avatars but i tend to press escape or hit the stop button to stop them from playing. very annoying to me.
