Shuffle modes are part of the actual player software, and therefore cannot be altered except by SonicBlue. However you could create a playlist that would do what your saying by using emplode, going to all tracks, listing by times played, and then copying to a new playlist.

There's no way to add new features to the player software. It's totally closed source. (Edit: Okay, the empeg developers could obviously do it, and they do participate quite a lot on this board, but the average user is totally unable to do it, and the empeg guys are busy with other stuff.) However, there is a way to customize the shuffle.

The description of how to set up custom shuffles is here, in the section titled ``Player Config Options in config.ini'' directly under the first table in that section (the paragraph starting ``Custom shuffle modes ...'').

I almost posted this until I saw your thread. I'd be interested to see what songs I request the most. I'm sure that just playing it once will skew the "plays" count, but hey!

Ah. ok Thanks for this.

I just noticed that from 2.11 to 2.13 software they had new shuffle modes
So I figured hey why not put most freq played, or the options to reverse the least freq one in revers order so they most freq play

I hope this will come in some later beta.

on other notes what is currently on the marked that the empeg guys are working on ?
I mean when sonicblue bought the Empeg, didnt it plan on useing it on something like it ?
Cause I looked on their web and I cannot see anything like the rio, that is a Car player

They developed ``Camelot'' for the OEM manufacturer Visteon. A search in the General board for those terms will give you some info, but it was shown at CES this year (just a month or two ago), and it won't be available anywhere probably for years to come.

Edit: This thread is the most pertinent one.
