I sold mine on eBay when I got a new car, and the Mark 2 was on the horizion. No sure what the owner of it did with it, since he dosen't seem to be a poster here.

I purchased mine off of ebay, and can't remember his name. Serial # 129 I think, it sits on my desk, and provides me with music at my office.

What I really want to do, is hack up the case and put a mk2 sled connector on the mk1. So I have 2 cages. That would be nice. I would definitely use the mk1 a lot more often, as I don't really like the look of the fascia that much on the mk2.

I gave mine to my brother. It settled any outstanding debts.

Mine sits by my stereo and is used as my home player, downstairs anyway. It now has 90GB.

I only recently upgraded the Miata to a Mk. 2 sled, it was in service until maybe 3 months ago in that car.

Now it's providing tunes at my desk, driving AKG K-401s through an Airhead.

Got mine just to have one. I like the look.
Changed it with a guy from Hamburg for an 10 Gig MK2a from carplayer.com.
It has also 10 Gig and has Nr. 00123. Never used in a car though...

I use mine with the home stereo, replaced my mediocre Sony 200 cd changer when it got full. It's been upgraded to 60gb. Mine's serial 103, got it from e-bay.

No, even more special than a lightweight - it's a Series III LWB Carawagon - a military camper! Part of a very small batch intended for NATO commanding officers as a Tactical Command Post on major excercises. But I use the MK1 in the Pink Panther too

How about get the metal part from rob and get the connector from newark. You would just have to cut a new hole for the connector.

They are modified before sale for easy player removal.

Stolen! Those bastards! Fortunately it happened right as the fire sale occured, so with the insurance money I was able to get a mk2a for exactly what insurance was giving me. It was almost like a free upgrade (plus hassle)!

Mine is sitting on my desk.

I don't have the heart to sell it, actually just sent for a quote on a new sled.

I have my Mark 1 to save for posterity and as the ultimately lo-tech version backup.

It is also cool to play it around the house.
