I'm trying to get a site setup for MK2 lens orders but I'm having trouble with the HTML that I'm hacking. Can someone take a look and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Here's the link:

http://mapage.noos.fr/abarber/empeg/products.html

From either order page, I place an order for a specific lens color and set the quantity to 3 in the dropdown. Click buy and it gets added to the Paypal cart. I then navigate back to the order page, select a different color and quantity and buy it. So far so good, but when I attempt to order any quantity of the first lens color, it only adds one lens.

I'm assuming its defaulting to undefined_quantity of 1 but if so why doesn't the form pick up the new quantity from the combo. If there's anything else that I've done wrong, please let me know. Thanks.

Also please don't use this to order anything yet. I'll let you know when it's live.

it doesn't look like a problem with the html or javascript. Try taking out the <input type="hidden" name="undefined_quantity" value="1">, and see if that will fix it.

I'm not sure what the purpose of that line is, since the default value of the drop down menu is 1 anyways.

I have also been tinkering with the page. It looks like it is accepting the input correctly. Did you fix it?

Perhaps in the javascript function it calls right before it submits the form, you could try setting the value of undefined_quantity to the value of the drop down menu.

I believe the line is used by PayPal as a default for quantity but I'll have to check the documentation.

I did remove it though but no dice. I'm still getting the same problem.

in the function formvalidator0:

theForm.undefined_quantity.value = theForm.quantity.value

Ugh. I don't get it. Formvaldiator0 shouldn't be touched by the single lens buy. Have I got it that screwed up?

I made the change in both formvalidator0 and formvalidator1 but I doesn't seem to work.

I appreciate the help though.

He isn't French, he's American. He only lives in Paris. I don't think it's permanent, but you'd have to ask him that.

Yeah I guess I meant formvalidator1. I could be wrong, but it looks like the javascript and html are okay. I think it is the server code that is miscalculating it.

No, it's not permanent. I found out last week that I'm likely to move to the south of France to a place called Pau. That's 6 locations in the last 6 years.

Moving is a hassle, but if you have to move, south of france is not too bad....

Yeah, I've been worse places too. South of France will be great. Paris has been very good also so no complaints on that end.

Moving on the other hand is always a joy. It's like throwing a party that spins out of control, all your stuff gets trashed or stolen, and you're left to clean up the mess...just like that but no beer.

Thanks d33zY, I'll take another look tonight. I was too tired last night and had stared at it too long.

I looped through the inputs prior to submission and you're right it's server side which clearly identifies it as an SEP. Thanks for the help.

My job is to sell and support software for petroleum companies. I have stayed in Pau before so I am sure I will like it.

Regarding my skills with the French language, I must confess that my French professor assisted me with my response. I am trying to learn...mais il va lentement.
