Hi again everyone,
Hope you are all having a good holiday. Some of you may have read that I had my Empeg stolen last week. My insurance adjustor is asking for a replacement estimate. I have sent him my invoice from Sonic Blue (for the one I picked up for $199.00) However it has no discription on it.
So to sum up I am hoping someone may have a link to a comparable (haha I know) stereo that I can point him to for a price estimate. I am going to be taking the cash settlement and getting another Rio by the way.

Thanks
Scott

IIRC, Sony has a harddrive player, MEX-1HD
.

So does Pioneer, the DEH-P90HDD.

Then there's of course the Music Keg and the Neo 35, compared to the empeg here

Then there's the Dension DMP3

But for a replacement value, I'd look at completed eBay auctions - as that (or this BBS) is the only real option if it comes to really replacing what was stolen...

I hope everything works out for you!

Thanks for the links. I told the adjuster via email that the only sources I know of for prices are ebay and this forum. I am not sure if the insurance company will accept that as a valid quote. Time will tell I guess. He is off on holidays untill the 29th. Just as well, I will be too full of turkey to look into things too much

Thanks again.

Merry Christmas
Scott
