Still getting software updates along with the 55x0 series. Service activation is $12.95/mo or $299 lifetime. I'd recommend getting the 5040 and dropping a bigger hard drive in, $189.99 for a refurb 5060 seems steep (though it's about what I paid back when activation was only $249.) _________________________ - Tony C my empeg stuff
