Question about it though - is there a way to have a playlist which is imported on the fly from a text file? (...the text file having been generated using a scheduled job hourly...)

OK - found the scanner, which actually works in a directory of m3u files which point to shoutcast servers - BUT -

[WARN] ScannerDaemon - -parsing-problem with [alternative.m3u] reason: io-proble
m reading playlist file, java.io.IOException: Failed to open HTTP connection

...it seems to give up on the entire playlist if one item in there can't be accessed?
