Dam, just bought a bunch of Ogg Vorbis mp3's for my karma, and forgot the empeg doesnt support them. Is the only way to listen to Ogg on the empeg is by loading the latest beta? Is there any beta version out there anyone is willing to share with that supports Ogg playback? I dont care about having the latest beta or auto-EQ options, just wanna listen to ogg on my empeg and be happy..
thanks

Try "latest alpha"

You could also transcode the Oggs to MP3s before loading them on the empeg. That would allow you to keep the stability and reliability of non-alpha software.

I don't know what player program you use to play back the OGG files, but it might have a simple option to write the OGG files to disk as a wave file, similar to Winamp's "disk writer" plug-in. Then you can encode those wav files.

Thanks Tony. i just used Easy_cd_ripper.. this software is the easiest i have ever used. just loaded the ogg files , selected mp3 format and bitrate, and it converted straight from ogg to mp3. very cool software indeed!

dbPowerAmp Music Converter will transcode from ogg to mp3.

It's a good program. It has a dll that will expose its functionality so that you can script with it too. I use it to add a option to my context menu when I right click on a m4p file from ITunes to Convert to MP3. Works beautifully.
