I've been thinking about getting rid of my riocar and getting a dvd player. I'm trying to choose between these 3:
Kenwood DDX7015
Kenwood KVT-715DVD
Clarion VRX935VD

Just wondering if anyone has or can recommend one of them. I really need it to be able to play mp3 dvds and have good id3 support, but i can't find much info about the id3 support anywhere. Also I was wondering if you could play a movie while you were driving. I heard that the parking brake had to be on or something, but that doesn't seem right. Any help is appreciated.

By law in many places professional installers have to do this. Odds are, if your installer says they have to do it, it is illegal to watch DVDs in the front area of your car while in motion. Monitors mounted behind the drivers head do not have this restriction.

Just a heads up:

One thing I seem to remember when looking at the specs of these a while back is that for some unexplained reason, they will only play MP3s from a CDR/CDRW and not from a DVDR/DVDRW.

It doesn't make much sense since they're able to read the DVD file system and decode MPEG2 off it, so why can't they decode MPEG1 layer 3 off the same media?

I could be mistaken but check it out.

I was curious again so I checked them out myself. Note they seem to specifically mention MP3s on CDRs/CDRWs only.
