Ok... I have a MkII player that is beyond the hope of recovery. Stuart at Eutronix has been at the same time a trooper and a madman about the repair of this thing, but to no avail. ROB (I originally said Hugo by mistake) has pronounced it dead. Ok read that Motherboard is dead... So I have parts up for grabs. The screen is good, power supply is good, the 13gb drive is good (I am not sure anyone would want THAT) The case is fine and the plastic parts are all good.

Taking offers.

The display board alone would be worth quite a bit given the replacement costs of a VFD and the rarity of the component.

I hate to sound like a ghoul scavanging from the dead but what color is the lens and which remote is it?

This is a secondary unit so no harm no foul...
The lens is blue and it did not come with a sled or remote unfortunately. The plastic trim on my primary one has a small imperfection on it. So I may swap that out but other than that...

My brother would be interested in the 13gb drive, but if you are in Italy then the shipping wouldn't make it worth it =].

Hmmm is this the first beyond repair Empeg mainboard?

I'd be interested in the dead mainboard...

I had one that died. It took a drop, and the IDE header was pulled off the mainboard. David was the one to pronounce it dead. I kinda wish I had asked if I could have kept it. It's always cool to show off the empeg mainboard to people.

Well I need to contact Stuart at Eutronix and make sure I cover his expenses.

Honestly I have no idea what the parts are worth, I have no desire to rip anyone off, I probably won't be asking very much for these parts. It's more of a write-off at this point.

I will do my best to handle it first come first serve, I already have a few IM's--Thank God they are time stamped.

Again Stuart has been a saint so I want to make sure I compensate him for the COUNTLESS hours. He had it for months and he never gave up until it was pronounced dead by the "higher powers"

I want to add that everything works on this as a whole except the audio output. I considered making it a network MP3 server but I am not that talented.
