The lay is different for each part of design - the circle would have been swirled after they (the aliens) made the inner design (by walking). This "circle" is by far the finest I have ever seen. It is just up the road from me (10 min drive from that one) and appeared mid 2003. I took my mum and aunt for a look and there were lots of people there. Remember that those lines are the width of a tractor - the thing was huge! edit: The "disc" is 8-bit ASCII (how convenient) and reads: "Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. EELRIJUE. There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Crazy; just walking, stepping on wide bars to lay the field, using only line-of-sight to get everything lined up. But 8 bit ASCII in a spiral... with a bell tone at the end?
