Can anyone tell me if all the small red jumpers on the MK II A are needed? Cause im missing one of those jumpers, im missing the one nearest the Car Plug.

Here's a picture of the jumper im missing? THe player seems to be working fine without it, im just wondering if there is any long term danger?

It must be a Mk2 since the Mk2A only has two RAM chips.

You should put a replacement jumper on though. I think it's the 5V line to the HD and you really need both since the drives draw quite a bit of current.

WIll it work without the jumper temporarily, because i dont know where to find a jumper that small and if i did i would have to order it and wait for it to come in.

You'll have to wait for Patrick or Hugo to answer that one. It should be a 0.1" jumper though and most PC hardware uses the same size jumpers.

I don't think that picture is of the hardware that he is working on. At least, that's what I got from reading his statements.
kendrick, is this correct?

Well, that's either the 10V or 5V analogue rails. You won't get any audio output without it!

I have lots of them. You can use jumpers from mini drives.
