I'll stay mainly in Beckenham/London, but want to visit Cambridge, Empeg Towers and RobS, who has hardware for me.
Can anybody give me a hint for a good bed&breakfast in Cambridge and Beckenham, or tell me what i should see there? I have no plan, cause i'm going with my gf, who will visit friends in Beckenham.
We fly to Luton with Easyjet, so im bound to public transport.
Any advices are welcome...

@schofiel: Did you get my PM?

@the empeg guys: when will be the best time for a visit?

cheers,
Thomas

I don't think you'll find Beckenham to be falling over with Hotels & B&B's, it's commuter land and doesn't have the call for them, on the other hand, from memory, it's only about 20mins. by train from London, Charing Cross. I originate from that part of the world.
From Charing Cross to Kings Cross, where you pick up the train for Cambridge, is a direct tube connection on the Northern Line.
You may well be better staying in London, but I did find these: http://www.hotels.uk.com/beckenham.htm

Thanks. Is a guest house more like a hotel or more something of the cheaper kind?

A guest house is more or less a small hotel

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guest_house

(some guest houses and many B&Bs don't allow you to stay in the building during the day, unlike a hotel)
