No, it's an old drive.
Here's the story.
I just sold the player so I was going to wipe out all the mp3s on it. My current PC doesn't have a serial port so I figured I'll use emplode to delete all the mp3s.
I delete 'em all and get a few sync errors (I was ripping mp3s and stuff at the same time so I figured it might've been resource problem.)
Then my PC locked up. I rebooted and the player was hanging at the logo. So I figured I'll reformat it. I run the disk builder and it runs fine until it gets to 'Finding pump (preparing first hard disk)'
It runs through this, and then says 'Couldn't find pump - error occured during stage 0x20'
I can still apply the upgrade after this, and it seems to take, but it will either hang at the empeg logo or at 'Building music database'

I think the endpoint stalls are because I tried to connect with emplode, just to see if it would work.
