Hi all,

my MkI just developed large playlist amnesia:

over the weekend I added ~450 tracks and passed 6000 total.
If I play the global playlist it will not remember the playlist or it's
position in it - I get an 'End of playlist' when the player starts again.
Volume, equalizer etc settings are remembered correctly.
When playing a shorter playlist everything works the way it should.

Is there a (known) limit as to how large the playlist can be?

Yes.

If I'm reading the source code correctly, 65,536 tracks is the maximum that can be stored.

Maybe, but much sooner, like when your playlist is bigger than 10.000 or so, your empeg will forget where it was after a reboot.

OK... will have to refrain from playing the root playlist until 1.1
comes out.

I thought I had read about a limit, but couldn't find it when
searching. So I thought it might have been on the Receiver site...

Oh well, good to know that it is a known thing - and being worked on!
