Cool but a pain dragging all those arrows around. I would be good on the DS.

I already finished all 80 levels, but it was fun.

I just tried the demo and it looks pretty neat not enough levels for 20 dollars. Maybe if it was cheap on steam.

According to Ars Technica, piracy of this game was at about 90%. So until the 12th they've dropped it to $5. I had previously only tried the demo, and wasn't willing to buy it for $20, but I'll go for $5.

It was $5 again over the weekend (and available on Mac), so I got it too. It was barely worth $5. It ended up degenerating from an adventure game into a puzzle game, which irritate me. Pretty, though.

Yeah, we'd mentioned Machinarium a long while back. I think I finished it over two or three sessions in as many days. I'd say it employed your typical point and click puzzle-adventure mechanics from start to finish. In recollection, I seem to have been more immersed in older games like Zack McKracken, the first Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island and some of the Sierra games.

Personally, I'd love to see a re-release of the Bitmap Brothers' Cadaver, a beautiful isometric puzzle adventure with a lot of interaction and freedom.

IMO, there's a big difference between interacting with the environment to solve a puzzle and simply solving a puzzle like a sliding block puzzle that has no real relevance to the environment and is simply an abstract impediment.

I know what you're saying. I'm also a fan of the former rather than the latter. The game-within-a-game can be overdone.
