I am trying to fix my old empeg (have not used it in 3-5 year) (used a different car well i should say Harley anyway)

i had a hard drive problem, i have taken care of that, i have copied all of the music from the dieing hard drives over to a new 160 gig drive, i am running v3.00-alpha11, and v508.hijack.mk2.
i have expanded the drives and such with builder_bigdisk_v4

i have also used jemplode to copy all of the music off of the empeg just in case (that took about 2 days)

anyway whenever i try and synchronize i get 0000.0 sigkill err.
the number changes sometimes when using jemplode.

i get a diffrent error when i try and synchronize with empeg.

the empeg likes to "building music databases" a lot, upon searching on that lead me to fix the hard drive problem.

also when i try and play music from the empeg it will not let it play anything. the tuner works just fine.

i am kind of at a loss on how to fix the problem short of wiping everything off of it and reloading all of the music. (2 days) ugh.

I received many of the symptoms you describe when I was using the alpha software. Try going back to 2.0 final instead of the alpha software, manually rebuild the databases, and see if that fixes it.

going back to 2.0 final has fixed the problems yeah

however when i upgrade 3.00-alpha11 the music does not play. the playlists are all there
