tfabris carpal tunnel Registered: 20/12/1999 Posts: 31583 Loc: Seattle, WA	Those who have used the PDA-as-IR-remote programs generally say that, although it works, the IR LED doesn't shine as brightly as one on a dedicated IR remote, so they don't work as reliably from a distance. At least that's what I seem to remember. I could be remembering it wrong, though. You can buy also for the Visor a Springboard module to have a more powerfull (distance) remote control. From what I read a device like the compaq iPAQ has a pretty strong IR led so it would do ok presumably. But I don't see software for it anywhere. I would love to try some though.
