Picked this up from the ogg discussion forums. Might be of interest for some people here.

*** BIG FAT WARNING ***

This file should not be played on anything more then a low volume and even then watch out. It has some dial tones (which in it self are no problem) but also some hi pitched noise and other strange stuff. It is a good file however to test your mp3 (or whatever) encoder with. It's not meant to be easy listening music. Don't complain to me if your speakers and amplifier explode in a big blaze of fire taking out all the city blocks in a 200 mile radius.

Seriously though, this file is specifically doctored to make encoders choke so take care.

Hans

Some more nice test files :

Though I suspect many of you already know this. Might be nice for a faq entry even though it is not directly related to empeg but more to encoders and testing them.

Cheers,
Hans
