I would like to see emplode (and the Linux equivalent) licenced so that we can use as many copies as we like, on any computer. Then the entire empolde installer package could be placed on the empeg hard disk. This would allow you to visit your friend's place, connect with a serial cable, upload the installer image to the host machine, install and run emplode immediately for playlist mods, downloading music, etc. Maybe a specific location for this could be chosen on the disk in the partition scheme, and the installer/utility images included in the empeg installer images for download at each upgrade time.

Why not carry it (emplode) round on floppies? Dunno, just seems better on the empeg itself...
