I know that the player is supposed to start up in a full-screen-info mode, in the car. But it also does so when I use it on AC at work. And in the car, I need two long presses of the bottom button to toggle into visual mode (just one at work, though).

Version 2.0b7 - I think it was okay in 2.0b3.

Have you tried setting the info mode through the menu, or via the remote control.

The way it works is that two info modes are persisted per channel, one last full screen one selected, and the last non-full screen one selected. Holding the bottom button will toggle these two modes.

Try selecting your favourite full screen info mode through the menu, then selecting your favourite non-fullscreen info mode through the menu. Once you have done this, providing you don't cycle through again with the remote (this issue may be addresed in a future release) you should find that holding the bottom button toggles correctly.

Let me know if it doesn't

Toby.

Probably both - and also by toggling using the Down button.

I've just had a play here in the office - it does remember correctly whether or not it was on a full-screen info if it was selected by menu, but not if it was subsequently changed by the remote or by toggling before power-down. And of course, in the car, I'm likely to start up, toggle the info off, then do nothing till power-down if it's a short journey.

I'll have more of a play (in the car) and see what happens.

Thanks for the workaround.

I too need 2 long presses of the down key in the car, but at home it starts in whatever state I left it last time it was turned off at home.
Not sure why it needs 2 presses in the car - I was under the impression one would do.

I found that Toby was right about it working correctly only when Info is chosen from the menu (not remote or by toggling), in the car as well as on AC.
