I just noticed the 2 main screws that hold the handle on are loose! The only reason they don't fall out is because they are blocked by the blue display overlay. Should they be loose? is the handle going to fall off? can you tighten them if you remove the display screws?

Hope someone can help.

Thank you

They're not supposed to be tight, but neither are they supposed to be falling out. Maybe the threadlock was missed out.

You can tighten them if you like, just enough so the handle still moves easily. I don't think they can actually fall right out though.

I had the same issue when I first got my unit. I just tightened them back up and havn't had a problem since.

Thank you dmoore and Rob,
I just wanted to check and I don't need my handle falling off.

I have found that MOST of the screws in my handle assembly have tended towards self-loosening over time (I now keep one of those "lots of tiny screwdriver" kits in the car for on-the-fly tightening).

Dunno if there is a better design that could be used in the handle to prevent this. I suspect one-piece handles would solve the problem nicely, but at an additional cost. (Although conversion from three-piece to one-piece handles, shouldn't be that big of an issue, its the manufacture of the handles that will be annoying I suspect).

A single piece handle would be hideously expensive, as it would have to be machined out of a suitably sized bit of aluminium - with a *lot* of waste metal.

Try a drop of threadlock compound on the handle end screws - this should have be used when they were assembled, but there's no harm in putting it on yourself if you have problems.
