There's a playlist right at the root of my playlists directory that shows up in emplode, but isn't on the player.

I'm using 2.0b11 with Hijack 201. The Hijack http does NOT show this phantom playlist either.

Also, when I attempt to synch, once in a while I get the following error:
"Synchronize failed while checking media. Read on socket failed. (error 0x8004003d)"
I am using ethernet/dhcp.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm. I suspect a database problem? Maybe you should try deleting the files "database", "playlists" and "tags" under /empeg/var and re-synching so it will rebuild those files. I've seen other similar problems solved in this manner.

OK, it seems to have cleared itself up.... I just had to keep trying till it re-synchronized successfully.

It seems to work better if the player is ON when doing the Synch rather than in standby. Not sure why...

Also, the "Checking disk integrity" step seems to take FOREVER.... of course I have a 60GB model with ~25G of MP3's... maybe thats why.

Thanks for the help. I never realized I could just delete those files and they would be rebuilt.

Yup, integrity checks (fsck) take my 40 GB unit with about 25 GB of tunes at least 20 minutes, maybe more. That's why I have the periodic checks from Emplode disabled via Hijack and just do checks when they're necessary.
