Hey guys,

One of my co-workers is wanting to purchase an Empeg and was wondering if I could give suggestions on where he could install it.. Any experiences w/ Bay Area installers? Any local car-audio stores that'd actually carry the empeg, or should he just mail-order it?

I bought mine from "Car Toys" I'm not sure if there are any in your area or not but they are a major Car Audio / Cell phone retailer in Washington.

I had mine installed by AMS, their location right near the end of 237 in Sunnyvale (or is Cupertino? I think SNVL...)

Pretty happy, overall.

I had mine done here in Fairfield at Audio & Performance Systems . I'm very happy with the way it turned out, they were able to leave all the stock equipment in and working. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for.

Looks like AMS in Mountain View (near 85) is out of business. Somebody bought them or something, they've changed the shop to Bay Stereo.

AMS in San Jose on Stevens Creek is still in business. You can try there. I've been there a couple of different times for different things and they are in general rude, but will get the job done.

I got mine installed at Auto Sound & Security (1205 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA). They were very good and the installation was done in an hour.
