For "organising" the London meet today. I had never meet up with people I had meet online before (except seeing Hugo from afar at an MX5 owners club meet years ago) and I had a great time.

Great to see Hugo, Mike and John make it as well. Also surprised to see Jon Bauer there as our "token" American, great to meet you in the flesh Jon.

Looking forward to the Euro meet.

Hope I got everyone's names right...

Unfortunately I found out rather that that it was my gran's 90th birthday and I would probably have been shot if I wasn't around. Hope to come to Amersfoort though.

Yeah, the pub isn't the ideal enviroment for my 10D, so I was camera-less, must buy a small second camera (if only there was a small one that did 800 ISO).

Roger and Jon Bauer took some pictures.

Unfortunately, all of mine are pretty worthless. No point in uploading them. Maybe Jon's got some better ones.

For "organising" the London meet today.

And thanks, everyone, for coming. For reference, the full (IIRC) list of attendees was:

From the BBS: andy, h_blake, jbauer, tman
From empeg: Hugo (altman), Mike C (mac), John Ripley (john)
And: Myself and my g/f.

We met in the Porterhouse near Covent Garden, and sampled their excellent selection of beers (they have a beer menu), before moving on to the Prince of Wales (I think). Unfortunately, I'd forgotten about the rugby, so it was a little tricky finding a pub that wasn't showing it.

We then went to a really good Italian restaurant, called Sapori, on Drury Lane, and a few of us went for a cheeky pint after dinner, while the others went home.

Yes, I took 2 pictures, but they are on my camera that I won't be able to hook up to my PC til I get home, which will be this Saturday.

In the meantime, I need to go to Munich, Belgium, and then Milan. Any empeggers in these 3 that want to grab a brew?

There is a song about a muffin man that lives on Drury Lane

Damn. I had next weekend in my diary and I'd rearranged something so I was free.

Sorry for being a no show. Will pay more attention next time...
