I personally think Mel's movies started going downhill rather rapidly after Young Frankenstein. Blazing Saddles was borderline.

I completely disagree. I think Blazing Saddles is a GREAT movie. Personally, I think everything went downhill after Spaceballs. After that came Life Stinks, Robin Hood: Men In Tights and Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

And come on, History of the World, Part 1 came after Blazing Saddles. That's another classic.

I've been patiently waiting for a Mel Brooks DVD collection. How could they not make one! That and a Tim Burton collection.
