Yeah, the university I went to didn't even have a student union in any real sense

We had a Campus Center. Then part way through, they added an extension to it, and renamed the whole thing the Student Life Center. You could tell what year people were in by whether they called it the CC or the SLC.

Edit: Oh, it had an arcade/pool hall in it, which was better than the arcade in the nearby plaza.
