Hey -- I can solve the ``problem''. It's not even really a problem, as it's the way it was designed. But does the design have to be so godawfully poor?

And, to answer your question, the only problems I've had with my Mac in the, oh, two years or so that I've had it, is the very occasional lockup, about once every two or three months at most (usually coming out of sleep mode), and occasionally having a hard time finding my wireless network (but that's my fault for having an abnormal network). Oh, and the battery is on its last legs, but that's hardly Apple's fault.
